Fabrication and Mechanical Characterization of Jute-Coir Reinforced Unsaturated Polyester Resin Hybrid Composites with Various Fiber Size using Compression Moulding Technique

چکیده

Fiber reinforced composites plays major role in improving the strength of various applications current trends. Based on these trends combination natural jute/coir fiber hybrid composite different size length was examined this study. The fabricated by compression moulding technique impregnating jute and coir with unsaturated polyester resin, Cobalt octoate methyl-ethyl-ketone peroxide as accelerator catalyst. Then prepared mould placed into oven to dry for 4 hrs. at 50°C beneath closely vacuum condition then convert cured hot press initially 1 hr 105°C under 84 bar pressure until while squeeze out excess it cooled cold constant 275 15 min prevent warpage composites. micro hardness, tensile, flexural, impact carried morphology evaluated compared. test results were analyzed one way ANOVA analysis shows significant difference among groups.
